Course information.
Here you will find information about Lecture ELC 90 of MAT123 - Introduction to Calculus. For general information about the course, including the grading policy, see the MAT123 webpage. The course coordinator is William Bernhard (bill@math.sunysb.edu). ELC 90 meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:50pm to 8:10pm at Psychology A 137 (click here for a map).

Office hours.
My office hours are on Thu from 5pm to 6pm at the MLC and on Tu and Thu from 8:15pm- to 9:15pm at my office (2-114, second floor of the Math Building; don't you know where the Math Bld is? Click here for a map). Recall, however, that the MLC is a place for helping students; hence, you may come to the MLC any time you want and certainly you will find a tutor there to help you.

Midterm 1: Thursday, February 25th, at 8:30pm.
Midterm 2: Tuesday, March 23rd, at 8:30pm.
Final Exam: Monday, May 17th, at 8:00am (notice that the Final is on the morning!).

No classes from March 28th to April 4th (Spring break).

Every other week, at the end of the class, there will be a short quiz based on your homework. The quizzes will include questions about material on homework due prior or at the date of the quiz. The precise dates for the quizzes are: 2/4, 2/18, 3/4, 3/18, 4/15, 4/29.

Here you can find a list of common mistakes done by students in MAT123. Even though this seems very simple, make sure you understand the math involved in order to avoid such mistakes.
